Paul Aresenault, husband of Denise King, passed away on July 17, 2020 at the age of 83 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Petit-Rocher on December 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Leon Arseneau and the late Alice Degrace.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Francois (Melamnie Foran) of Moncton, Janiique of Matane QC, and Jesse King of Albuquerque; his two sisters, Lorraine (late Gilbert Doucet) of Dieppe and Arnolda (late Alfred Roy) of Petit-Rocher and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Jacques, four of his brothers and three of his sisters.
Paul studied at St. Joseph College and the University of Monctonwhile being a member of the C.O.I.C. (Training of Cadres in the Canadian Army). During these years he was also part of the choir, often as a soloist, under the direction of Neil Michaud and later by Martin Waltz. In addition, he was very involved in student life where he enjoyed great popularity. After obtaining a master's degree in commerce, he worked for 35 years for the company Assumption Mutual Life. He held several positions including that of Superintendent of Canadian and American Agencies, Vice-Prsident of Marketing and finally President of the American Mountain State Life sector. (M.S.L)
Paul ended his career in New Mexico where he retired. Given the circumstances, an intimate ceremony will take place in Albuquerque. A donation to the Neil Michaud Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
