Randall E. (Randy) Vandevender, 62, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 in Albuquerque. Born April 1, 1957 in Elyria, OH, Randy had been a resident of Albuquerque for the last 23 years. Randy was the son of Don Vandevender of Lisbon, OH and the late Stacia (Vandevender) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather William Miller.
Randy was a loving husband, father and doting grandfather. He leaves behind his wife, Alice; stepsons Marc and Nolan Montoya; stepdaughter Rikki Montoya and grandson Elyus M. Johnson (who meant the world to him). Randy also leaves behind his daughter Christina (James) Lynch; grandson son Jaden and granddaughter Ariana; son Justin Vandevender of WVA along with adopted son Damien and adopted daughter Amy; all of whom he spoke of often and fondly. He also leaves behind his favorite sister, Teresa (Melvin) Jordan of Lisbon, OH along with nephews Bradley (Beth); Bart (Jenna) and Brett Jordan of OH. Last, but not least, Randy leaves behind his protective companion, Luna, his French bulldog.
We will deeply miss Randy, with his dry wit and crazy antics he always kept us laughing and on our toes! Randy loved having his chile rellenos (the hotter the better) with Nolan and occasionally Marc and going to breakfast with Alice and father-in-law Tom Herman and sister-in-law Yolanda.
The family would also like to thank the team at Alliance for all your help and willingness to come and help Randy whenever he needed you!
